The Australian High Commissioner to Ghana, His Excellency Gregory Andrews has this afternoon been awarded additional responsibility of taking care of two peacocks from His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor, Former President of Ghana.
The “privilege” according to Mr. Andrews was given him when he visited, and received mentorship from his “friend”, the Former President Agyekum Kufuor at his residence this afternoon in Accra.
The rather elated Australian Government representative in the country took to his Twitter account to share his excitement, in a video which has courted the admiration of many Ghanaians, as well as many foreign nationals.
In the short video, His Excellency Gregory Andrews is seen kickstarting with his responsibility of taking care of the peacocks entrusted to him by the former First Gentleman of the land, whiles the latter looks on gleefully in his walking aid.
“Honoured to have spent an afternoon with His Excellency former President Kufuor and privileged to have made a new friend and mentor in him. His Excellency kindly entrusted the Australian High Commission with two of his peacocks which will be much loved and very well cared for” , Mr. Gregory Andrews tweeted alongside the video below.
