Ghanaian rapper Edmond Ansah affectionately know by stage name, Postaboy, earlier today on Kwanso te sen drive with host Mista Chanti, for the first time spoke about his reasons of going off music for a while.
Postaboy is a Kasoa-Nyanyano based rapper who holds a 3Music Award plaque for the entire central region. The promising rapper cum singer, Postaboy was born on 1st August 1994 in Akyim Afosu where he hails but was raised in different parts of the Central region of Ghana.
He is the third and last born of his parents: Mrs Stella Ansah and Mr Peter Kwamina Ansah.
For sometime now, most music lovers in the central region, especially Kasoa-Nyanyano has been put to shock for not hearing from their hero Postaboy. There has been soo many rumors around his disappearance from the music scene.
Postaboy in an interview on Obaatanpa Radios kwanso te sen with Mista Chanti revealed that, he has been sick for sometime now and that made him go off music just so he can treat himself and come back.
According to him, he was spiritually attacked, this made him collapse from time to time. He got to know about the spiritual attacks when conducting several medical test and they found nothing wrong in his system, everything was perfect. This raised an alarm to him that, he needs to seek the divine healing of God so he quickly got in touch of his spiritual father who by his grace delivered him from the attacks he was getting.
Postaboy made it known that, when the sickness started, his fans in and outside Kasoa-Nyanyano didn’t known about his health so they were all expecting new music from him. This placed huge pressure on his management which at the end of the day made the management part ways with him because of his inability to deliver.
When the news got to me about the parting way with my management, I really got quite sad because we lived and worked like family. I was invited to my bosses office for several meetings and even took some elders to meet my boss to help me plead on the misunderstanding with my management. Even though my boss has accepted my plea and all that, he hasn’t given me any recording opportunity nor shows. As i speak, my contract with my management is still valid.
When asked about his future for music, Postaboy said he is coming back with much more seriousness and urge fans to expect nothing but the best. He will be partaking in an award show which is happening tomorrow 15th October and also a huge show for his comeback which will come off hopefully this month.
When asked about the music industry in kasoa, Postaboy mentioned that, comparison is killing talents. Instead of them to focus on doing music to sell kaosa, they are rather competition among themselves with beefs and hash words.
Postaboy concluded by saying that, when the focus is clear, the music industry in kasoa will grow.
