The Municipal Chief Executive of Awutu Senya East (Kasoa) in the Central Region, Hon. Anita Obo Love Amissah has for the first time expressed how she felt when appointed as MCE.

     Speaking in an exclusive interview on Obaatanpa Radio show dubbed “Omutuo Special with Ogboro Naghty, the Honorable MCE noted that it came as a surprise. She stated” I was surprised to be appointed and had no idea of it. I was church at that time and when the news came, it was all Glory”.

His Execllency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo—Addo appointed her the Municipal Chief Executive of Awutu Senya East in 2021.



Born at Anomabo in the Central Region, Anita is a proactive and realistic professional teacher who has a lot of experience in the teaching field. She is married with two children



She had her Basic Education at Anomabo Methodist School in the Central Region. She started her Senior High Education at Mfantseman Secondary but completed it at Enyan Denkyira Secondary School in the same Region.

She later gained admission to Foso College of Education in the Central Region to pursue a 3 Year Post Secondary Certificate.

Anita continued her Education at the University of Cape Coast to do a Diploma Certificate in Basic Education. She later gained her First Degree in Basic Education at the University of Education, Winneba and subsequently Mphil Basic Education in the same University.

She has been in the teaching field for 20 years and these are the breakdown of her teaching years. she spent two years at St Killian Catholic Basic school in the Awutu Beraku in the Central Region, thirteen(13) years in St Martha’s Catholic Basic School, three years at Emmanuel Presby Basic school and currently Anita is the Headmistress at Odukpongkpehe M/A JHS since 2020. All these schools are in Kasoa in the Central Region.



Anita is an activist of NPP and was a member of the Campaign team of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) in charge of souvenirs at Foso College Of Education during the 2000 General Election

Anita further joined Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON); the student wing of the NPP from 2010 to 2012 at the University of Education, Winneba when she was doing her Degree Program.

She has been the organizer of all Ghana Education Service programs sponsored by the Member of Parliament(MP) for Awutu Senya East Municipal since 2014. She was the Polling Agent at the Roman voting centre at Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East constituency in the 2016 General Election.

Anita was the Deputy Women’s Organizer for the NPP in the Awutu Senya East Constituency in 2018 until her appointment and the Welfare Secretary for the Women’s Wing of the Party in the Central in 2019.

She was the Deputy Communications Director for the Campaign Team of the Party and Hon Hawa Koomson, MP during the 2020 General Election.
