Kasoa ritual murder: Hawa Koomson entourage visits bereaved family

Following the murder of a 10 year old boy identified as Ismael Mensah by two teenagers for ritual purposes at Lamptey, near Kasoa in the Central region, a delegation led by Mr. Emmanuel Anim, deputy Chief Executive Officer of Coastal Development Authority (CODA) and Campaign Manager in the 2020 elections for Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson, MP  for the Awutu Senya East Constituency, has paid a consoling visit to the family of the victim.

Speaking to the media after a brief engagement with the family, the deputy CODA boss expressed shock as to how and why such a heinous crime could be perpetrated by persons of such young ages.

He added that even though Lamptey, the place where the sad incident happened is not necessarily part of Kasoa, or in the Awutu Senya East Constituency as many news portals have previously reported, Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson has delegated them to visit and console the family on her behalf.

Mr. Anim affirmed the MP’s commitment to ensuring that justice is served, adding that but for her busy schedule, the Minister would have visited the family personally.
