SEHP introduced in Awutu Senya East

The Samira Empowerment and Humanitarian Projects (SEHP) on 6th April, 2021 engaged political activists, chiefs, pastors and opinion leaders in Awutu Senya East Constituency with the aim of empowering youth in the constituency with the relevant tools, skills and opportunities to thrive.

Speaking at the maiden engagement with the local authorities in the constituency, the Project Advisor of SEHP, Madam Akua Asantewaa revealed that young ladies between the ages of 16 and 24 have been targeted by the organization to be ushered into skilled training for the job market, and other fashion-related businesses.

According to Madam Asantewa, the programme which includes training in hair dressing, tailoring, makeup artistry, among many others would facilitate self-sufficiency in women in breaking the cycle of poverty.

The SEHP is a not-for-profit organization established by the second lady Mrs. Samira Bawumia in partnership with the Ghana Exim Bank and German government since 2018.

The foundation since its inception has helped and improved thousands of women’s lives through diverse social intervention projects.
