Some Nigerian Traders in Kasoa whose shops have been locked by the Ghana Union of Traders Association for over three days wants government intervention in the matter.The Traders lament that they have been sidelined at the expense of other foreign nationals and being dealt with.
According to the Nigerian Traders in Kasoa most of whom are members of the Nigerian Union of Traders Association,NUTA their members have been sidelined and their shops closed at the expense of other foreign nationals who are also trading in the enclave.
They lament that for over three days their shops have been locked by the leadership of the Ghana Union of Traders Association,GUTA.
According to the Nigerian Traders no reasons were given for their shops being locked adding that a joint team of police, military coupled with the leadership GUTA lead the operations.
They also lament the harsh economic condition they are going through as a result of their shops being locked.
Some of the Nigerian shops that have been closed had some notices on them directing shop owners whose shops have been closed to produce business operating permit,tax receipts, tenancy agreement among others to the Ministry of Trade for onward action before theor shops are opened.
