Results didn’t reflect our aspirations- Mohammed Kudus pens apology

Black Stars captain Mohammed Kudus has penned an apology to Ghanaians in the wake of a string of disappointing results Ghana’s Men’s National Football Team has recorded recently.

Ghana lost 2-0 to Sudan after playing out a goalless draw with Sudan in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers in Libya and Accra respectively.

The results leave Ghana in serious danger of missing out on qualifying to next year’s AFCON due to be held in Morocco from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.

Missing out on next year’s AFCON would be Ghana’s first since since 2004. The Black Stars rank third in Group F with just two points from four qualification games and need Sudan to lose its final qualification games against Angola and Niger to stand a chance of qualifying.

West Ham midfielder Kudus captained Ghana for the first time in his career in both games against Sudan but had a frustrating time against the Kwasi Appiah-led side with his frustration highlighted by a point blank miss in the goalless draw in Accra.
